The 24-week programme saw PCE design, procure and erect more than 1,000 precast concrete external and internal wall units, together with beams, columns, stairs and landings. Approximately 14,500 sqm of hollowcore concrete flooring was also installed.
Both blocks, housing some 196 apartments were handed over to client Countryside Properties PLC ahead of schedule for the installation of external finishes and fitting out.
Modern methods of construction together with total management of the supply chain from initial design through to delivery and erection enabled PCE to form a successful partnership with Countryside Properties, who are committed to high quality fast track construction for the residential sector.
Additionally, the contract introduced several innovative features including the construction of ground floor undercroft parking in both of the apartment blocks.
