Production Proceeds on Wembley’s New Neighbourhood

PCE Ltd is progressing to the production phase of Fulton & Fifth, the exciting new London urban renewal project at Wembley, for which PCE has been appointed as specialist design and build contractor by property developer Regal London.

PCE’s HybriDfMA hyTower® system is being used to deliver the project, offering enhanced safety, speed, quality and value.

Production is well underway on the new luxurious “neighbourhood like no other”, designed for Regal London by Concept Architects JTP and Engineers Terrell with Quantity Surveyors GIA. Delivery Environmental Consultants are Whitecode Design Associates, with Delivery Architects Ryder Architecture and Engineers HDR Inc.

A key element of the manufacturing phase is quality assurance. As part of PCE’s commitment to delivering the highest quality at every project phase, component quality standards, aesthetics and tolerances have been defined and agreed with the input from key stakeholders, including PCE, Regal London and Ryder Architecture. This benchmark standard ensures all subsequent offsite manufactured components are delivered to the agreed highest quality standard, without exception.

Engagement and communication between PCE and its supply chain ensures there is a complete understanding of any agreed specifications, with PCE’s Precast Quality Co-ordinators positioned in factories to offer first-hand, first point of contact advice, assistance, and ensure that PCE quality assurance requirements are met to the agreed benchmark standard.

Throughout the manufacturing process, offsite engineered and manufactured elements will be tagged with the latest Bluetooth tracking systems that feeds into an interactive 3D digital twin model, allowing for the real-time tracking of all units, providing transparency, predictability and clarity from when they are manufactured, through to leaving the factory, travelling to site and being installed onsite, including all respective QA checkpoints.

Combining a state-of-the-art digital twin approach with an offsite engineered and manufactured ‘kit of parts’ system, ensures manufacturing is not only managed closely and accurately, but done so with an emphasis on sustainability, efficiency and a higher level of collaboration.
