Chapel Wharf update 15 – progress on blocks C and D and latest safety award

Offsite pre-glazed external architectural envelope

PCE Ltd's work is proceeding at a good pace on blocks C and D of the nine hundred and ninety five unit Build to Rent apartment scheme being built by Sir Robert McAlpine and their client Dandara at Chapel Wharf, Manchester.

The remaining two towers are Block C (seventeen storeys high) and Block D (twenty three storeys), which are being constructed to their full height - including the Offsite pre-glazed external architectural envelope and balconies, which removes the need for external scaffolding. Blocks A (a seventeen storey tower) and B (fourteen storeys) were recently structurally completed by PCE.

Latest Safety Award

Despite the project's pleasing progress, the focus on site safety is constantly being maintained. PCE has just attained its third award of the Chapel Wharf project, with Guy Livingston, one of PCE’s Site supervisors, being awarded the overall individual project safety and quality monthly award by Rohan Evans the Project Director (above). The Sir Robert McAlpine site safety leader board for Chapel Wharf (below) was a reassuring sight for PCE's Managing Director Nickie Brown, who said

“The team need to complete the remaining two blocks and I know that all PCE people connected with the project will continue to stay very focussed on quality as well as health and safety."
