PCE is at the forefront of leading the offsite construction industry with their approaches to all sustainability matters. All employees are encouraged to play their part in delivering projects with a reduced carbon footprint, from receipt of enquiries through to final project delivery phase.

Externally the company is collaboratively involved with industry and government research initiatives to progress new sustainability ideas and techniques.

Design, manufacture and construction improvements to minimise the effects of global warming and result in carbon reduction are all carefully assessed using PCE’s own developed complex carbon calculation procedures, to ensure correct decisions are made to help provide a better more sustainable world for people to live in.

PCE Ltd’s approach to participating in the Innovate UK project ‘Decarbonising Precast Concrete’ was to bring together a team of 7 people from within the business with widely differing experience, knowledge and skill sets to maximise the input into the research.

The project is an important step in the development processes that PCE are determined to progress to enable all HybriDfMA structural systems to offer the best choice for it’s client’s needs including the quest for a zero carbon build.
