Simon Harold, PCE's Business Development Director, was requested by the Concrete Centre to give a presentation on PCE Ltd's approach to their Hybrid structural solution philosophy at an evening seminar held recently in Belgravia, London.
Over 90 leading construction industry consultants and clients were in attendance and Mr Harold's presentation showed how PCE using Hybrid Construction on three different projects - the award winning VW Showroom at Brentford, Capella Laboratory at Cambridge and Birmingham's Paradise Circus development - resulted in project benefits.
The case studies demonstrated how PCE's Hybrid approach provides timescale, cost, safety and certainty benefits on construction projects.
The Concrete Centre defines hybrid concrete construction (HCC) as follows:
“HCC is the combination of precast and in-situ concrete to form a quick, robust and safe form of construction that benefits from the advantages of both types of concrete construction."
The seminar covered recent case studies where hybrid concrete construction has been used to benefit the client.
