New Civil Engineer TechFest logoNCE’s panel of esteemed judges has shortlisted:-

‘PCE: Ynomia – ‘Real time’ project tracking’ for both the Best Use of Technology: Smart Data Collection in Construction
Best Use of Technology: Offsite and Modular categories.

Simon Harold, PCE’s Business Development Director, explains:

“PCE and Ynomia have developed an asset tracking system that compliments PCE’s HybriDfMA Systems ‘kit of parts’ approach for the delivery of offsite manufactured solutions for structures and facades. This is achieved by digitally capturing the real time status, including all necessary Quality Assurance data, of every component contained within the project BIM model from its initial design, through manufacture, delivery and on-site assembly. A digital twin model is created showing all asset movements in a 3-dimensional environment.

“This real time digital data capture and ‘live’ presentation of the full lifecycle of each element has completely eliminated paper-based tracking and recording systems. The project team thus has a constantly up dated status and progress overview for each component which dramatically enhances decision making capabilities concerning programmes, resource allocation, and supply chain management whilst also improving client coordination.”
