Safety and accuracy considerably enhanced by Roy's innovative idea

Roy Turner is an erection general foreman employed directly by PCE Ltd. An idea came to him while he was working  on the Lexicon Bracknell town centre redevelopment.

Roy suggested his erection improvement idea to the PCE Project Team. It developed during lesson learning sessions - and it was to significantly enhance the then existing approved method statement for erection of steel delta beams and associated flooring components. The outcome proved highly significant -  enhancing the safety of the erection process whilst increasing the accuracy of the fit and reducing installation times.

Experience and expertise

By using his experience and smart thinking, Roy was able to advise PCE prior to another project starting. He was able to demonstrate how the system could be improved with significant benefits to the current Capella project and PCE's installation teams in general.
