PCE Ltd are delighted that Kier Major Projects were successful in being awarded “Best use of Concrete”, "Best Healthcare Project" and most importantly the ultimate “Project of the Year” Offsite Awards.

PCE worked in partnership with Kier during the project's tender period to develop the best offsite Hybrid construction solutions for the three ward buildings and entrance building before successfully carrying out the design and build contract as Kier’s preferred specialist contractor.

Kier’s submission for the Awards was supported by PCE, and PCE’s Managing Director Nickie Brown who was present at the Awards ceremony remarked:

“I know that everybody in my company will be delighted that Kier’s have been so successful with these Offsite Awards and also be proud that PCE have been an important part in the success of the BHR project."

Both Nickie Brown and new Business Development Director Simon Harold were asked by Kier to join them on stage to receive the Awards, further demonstrating the excellent partnership between the two companies. The best use of concrete award criteria included the following:

"Special attention will be given to material performance levels and any project should clearly demonstrate how cost-predictability, economy, accuracy, transportability, speed of installation and principles of lean manufacture have been achieved."
