Chapel Wharf update 6 – offsite design and build

Collaborative approach with Sir Robert McAlpine

PCE Ltd's collaborative approach with Main Contractor Sir Robert McAlpine will result in the four precast concrete structures, costing approximately £24 million, being erected on site over a 22 month programme.

Dandara's 995 build to rent apartment scheme is located at Chapel Wharf, a 4.2 acre site adjacent to the Lowry Hotel and between the River Irwell and Chapel Street in Salford, Manchester. PCE worked with the Main Contractor during the tender period to develop an Offsite design and build solution for the four high rise apartment blocks that comprise the development, and range from 13 to 23 storeys in height. The scheme has been designed by Architect Axis Mason and WSP are the client’s consulting engineers.
