PCE Engagement at the Nottingham Trent University Careers Fair

Developing skills and careers

PCE Ltd is an employee-owned company committed to providing young professionals the opportunity to develop their skills and careers. The company was thus thrilled to have attended the recent Nottingham Trent University Careers Fair, where our employee partners had the opportunity to speak with students and discuss the variety of career and placement opportunities available at PCE.

A long-standing relationship has developed between PCE and Nottingham Trent University which has resulted in a history of successfully placing students for work experience as part of their degree programme, most of whom have gone on to work for the company full time upon graduation. Thus PCE were excited to return and engage with the latest cohort of talent within the world of construction design and build and other disciplines. Whilst PCE run a variety of graduate programmes across their business, the following placement roles were predominately being promoted:

  • Design Manufacture Construction (DMC) Project Engineers
  • Construction Management
  • Project Management
  • Quantity Surveying

The PCE stand was extremely busy throughout the day and attracted a lot of interest from a wide range of students. The Company’s team attending included Nottingham Trent University graduates who are now employed by the Company as DMC Project Engineers, Josh Ward, Gregor Gordon, Daman Mistry, as well as the company’s Human Resources Manager, Hayley Burlingham, and Strategic Development Manager, Carrie Smith. PCE’s Managing Director, Nickie Brown who was also in attendance said:

"It was very pleasing to witness the engagement and positivity between the PCE team and the students that were attracted  to want to talk to us, and thanks once again must go to the University for giving us the opportunity to participate as such a well-run event. We look forward to returning later this year to attend the University’s more specific Construction Careers Fair."
