PCE celebrates 50 years of business

Yesterday, Sunday 19 November 2023, saw PCE Ltd turn 50 years old.

Since its establishment as a trading business in 1973, PCE has gone from strength to strength. The business has seen major transformation; evolving from a construction only to a comprehensive design and build organisation, developing its digital and strategic capabilities, and becoming a 100% employee-owned business (EOT). Driven by a philosophy of continuous improvement, PCE has progressed to becoming a leading DfMA (Design for Manufacture and Assembly) business, delivering some of the most impactful, award-winning structures across the UK.

What has been constant throughout the years of change is two things; the culture and ethic of the people behind the business, and their collective will to win. These characteristics, backed by the positive changes made by the business over the years, has allowed PCE to adapt and excel. We have grown significantly in size and stature, whilst remaining true to the ethos and family culture instilled in the business by its late Founder, Vince Wetton.

We are truly grateful to each and every person, client, supplier, and partner who has helped us on our journey. To those who are still here, those who have gone in different directions, and to those who sadly are no longer with us; we thank you.

Over the last few months, we have been releasing a number of blogs to celebrate the 5 decades of PCE’s exciting and transformative journey. These celebrations were topped off by a very special Black Tie Winter Ball, held at Stanbrook Abbey on 27 October, where PCE employee partners, friends, and family members met to celebrate this great achievement.
