Emirates Old Trafford update 5 – first PreFastCore boxes installed

Offsite manufactured precast concrete elements arrive onsite

The first PreFastCore units by PCE Ltd have arrived onsite at the Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground - and are rapidly being installed.

Rapid on site erection to full height, prior to the rest of the structural frame being erected, will ensure:

• reduced overall frame erection times
• safe and easy site personel access to the different floor levels as the building is constructed
• a cost-effective means of transferring lateral loads to the foundations.

PreFastCore units are manufactured using a purpose designed complex fully adjustable moulds system to ensure maximum variation in core sizes that can be cast with emphasis on dimensional accuracy.

Quality manufacture

All precast concrete components are manufactured under stringent quality control procedures for PCE by leading precast company Shay Murtagh. The design is modelled in 3D to ensure that all the client’s requirements are met without any clashes.
