PCE Ltd was delighted to be appointed by Kier Construction Scotland to deliver the superstructure and brick-clad façade for the second phase of the £43.5m expansion programme to the Golden Jubilee Foundation in Clydebank, Glasgow. Phase two provides an expansion of elective surgical capacity, specifically Orthopaedic Surgery and Endoscopy procedures.
All elements will be manufactured in eight off-site specialist facilities across the UK and Europe, and when assembled will create 2,550m² per level enclosed by 3,473m² of façade.
PCE’s approach will also create efficiency gains in the fit-out phase through the integration of cast-in M&E routing and a ‘riser safe’ system within the precast concrete elements creating a safe working environment and reducing work for follow-on trades.
