PCE Ltd constructed the entire façade of the £40 million Hilton hotel in high quality architectural precast panels while overcoming challenges relating to access issues and site engineering demands.

The hotel is situated at the heart of the vibrant Liverpool One development on the city’s impressive waterfront close to Albert Dock and the Royal Liver Building.

Some 816 precast panels, together with around 200 glass reinforced concrete panels form the outer cladding for the four star hotel.

The main wall panels were manufactured in seven metre heights, each rising two storeys, creating a ‘mullion’ effect to visually stretch the building, while fascia beams cross the panels horizontally every second storey.

PCE carried out ‘just-in-time’ construction, with each component craned into place and fixed immediately upon delivery.
