Like the UK, Japan is facing a construction skills shortage, making TODA eager to learn more about PCE’s systemised design–manufacture–build approach. Together, we examined how automation, standardisation, and repeatability enable us to deliver more with fewer resources—while maintaining the highest levels of quality and sustainability.
To demonstrate this in action, the TODA team visited Brent Cross Plot 1 (3 Copper Square), where they saw first-hand how PCE’s DfMA methodology (Design for Manufacture and Assembly) can achieve exceptional results with up to 80% fewer operatives. This was followed by a session at The Building Centre, where our hyTower® exhibit provided deeper insight into our systemised offsite model. Presentations from both TODA and Adam McArthur, Head of Engineering at Ynomia, sparked valuable discussion around how PCE’s delivery model and advanced digital technology can help TODA realise its vision of reducing on-site reliance through offsite unitisation.
We look forward to continuing our dialogue with TODA and exploring the exciting opportunities that lie ahead between our two forward-thinking companies.
