A second offsite manufactured brick faced sandwich panel is being prepared prior to being transported to the Manchester Dakota Hotel development, which forms part of the Evans Property Group strategic plan to bring its Luxury Dakota brand hotels to all key UK regional cities in the next five years.
Once completed, the luxury hotel will hold 137 bedrooms over 8 levels with the 9th level containing executive suites. Dakota Deluxe Manchester will be one of the luxury hotels developed by the company suited for city centre locations in the UK, and will feature a cocktail bar, restaurant grill and terraces for guests facing in the direction of the water of Piccadilly Basin.
Above the steel frame, PCE Ltd are providing the podium slab from which the Hybrid concrete structure is constructed. The structure is being built with concrete crosswalls, PreFastCore and architecturally finished brick faced sandwich panels.
PCE are responsible for the design and build of the superstructure using their well proven offsite engineering Hybrid approach, with the structural stability to both the lower steel frame and upper concrete construction being provided by the stair and lift shaft cores being constructed using PCE’s PreFastCore system.
