Safety first Second nature

The campaign, according to the Mace website emphasises their safety focus:

"Mace is building a culture that lives and breathes health and safety every day: a culture where putting safety first is second nature."

The award nomination highlighted some of the key reasons for Guy's recognition, including:

  • "Guy never walks by a potentially unsafe situation, his knowledge and experience gives him foresight to identify potential unsafe situations early on, and always takes prompt action. Guy also keeps a watchful eye of the contractors that border his working area and supports them too.
  • "The co-ordination of his delegates and activities are paramount to safe operation and construction.
  • "Guy ensures all the necessary health and safety checks and documentation are completed and kept up to date.
  • "Guy has been an active participant in the monthly safety committee meetings since PCE commenced work on the project."
