HybriDfMA Bespoke System project is EU Mies Award finalist

Kingston University Town House announced as one of the last 5 finalists for the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture

 

PCE Ltd is delighted that the 2021 RIBA Stirling Award winner, the Kingston University Town House designed by Grafton Architects, has won through to being in the last five finalists for the prestigious 2022 European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture - Mies Van der Rohe Award, also known as the EU Mies Award.

 

The EU Mies Award is awarded to single architectural works demonstrating excellence in conceptual, social, cultural and technical terms. It raises awareness of quality architecture and its contribution to the well-being of citizens and the sustainable development of European cities, towns and villages. The Award is made on a biennial basis and over 400 projects were submitted for consideration for the 2022 Award, the winner will be announced in May. Further details can be found at EUMiesAward.

 

PCE's HybriDfMA Bespoke System

Following their appointment by Main Contractor Wilmott Dixon as specialist structural frame contractor, PCE used their HybriDfMA Bespoke System, and were responsible for the structural design of the frame, including external facades, manufacture of components and construction for this exemplar Offsite Construction project to meet the exacting quality of build and finishes Grafton Architects required.
