PCE People - Kimberley Pantry

Introducing Kim Pantry, Creative Marketing Coordinator

Why did you join PCE?

When I left school, I chose to do a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interior Architecture and Design at Leeds Beckett University. During the 3 years I was there, the use of creative visual software programmes became a significant part of the course. This is something I enjoyed and became pretty good at. After graduating, a family friend - Darren Waller, asked if I could improve some visuals he was creating for the N06 project, which he was Project Manager for at the time. This led me to doing some work for the company’s website of which resulted in Nickie Brown offering me a full time position as Visual Marketing Assistant. It was great being offered a full time job associated with the building and construction industry, although not in formal architecture. Even though due to covid lockdown I could not get around the company and meet people personally.

Why do you still work for PCE?

Working at PCE has allowed me to use some of the skills I learnt at University, be creative and produce visual material for the company’s website and our HybriDfMA Systems. From day 1, I soon realised that I could influence the visual presentation of the website and that my thoughts and comments were listened to and acted on. I quickly learned that everybody I came across within PCE were hardworking, supportive, and willing to help me fit in and learn, and I am pleased to say that after 18 months this still occurs, especially as my contact with more people within the company grows since covid lockdown has ended. I want to develop my career with PCE and feel that the company will provide me with sufficient opportunities, perhaps even outside of my current job role.

What are you most proud of?

Helping to redesign and relaunch PCE’s website and its continuing development. Playing a major part in the establishment of the HybriDfMA Systems, case studies and overview documents. Seeing the end results of my visual creativity being on a significant business website and having had very good feedback on my work and how I have carried it out from both within the company and also external sources.

Why is your role important to PCE?

I help potential customers to understand the building systems that PCE offers through my visual design input. This is not just about making the website look visually exciting but ensuring presentations by directors to potential and existing clients are as informative as they can be.
