Case studies and practical inspiration for designers, developers and contractors will be presented for delegates
The event Accelerating to construction Net Zero: a data-driven approach will take place on July 22nd 2021. To announce the publication of the Innovate UK funded Decarbonising Precast Concrete project report, its team has offered an invitation to hear from three current industry innovations using a data-driven approach to measuring, mitigating and reducing embodied carbon in the built environment.
PCE’s Business Development Director Simon Harold, who will be one of the four Decarbonising Precast Concrete presenters at the event, said
“The project has demonstrated the importance of collaboration between all parties when targeting sustainable solutions. In looking at design specification in conjunction with material selection, manufacturing process and construction methodology, significant savings can be realised. For PCE, this is just the start of an exciting journey towards net zero.”
PCE Ltd is working in partnership with consultants Akerlof, Accelar, Curtins and precast product manufacturer Forterra as part of an Innovate UK funded consortium to map the embodied carbon within the existing Ministry of Justice secure accommodation designs and to identify opportunities to reduce their actual carbon footprint in the future.
