14,000 offsite engineered components created in 10 months

PCE and Offsite supply chain set to beat production plans for large custodial project in Glen Parva

Scale and flexibility are key benefits that PCE Ltd bring to its clients, and there is no better demonstration of this than with the HybriDfMA Secure Prisons System currently being delivered at the Glen Parva project, where around 14,000 precast concrete components are being manufactured in just 10 months.

The precast concrete elements are being supplied by no fewer than 7 factories, allowing PCE to take advantage of the entire capacity within the precast manufacturing market along with the capability of each respective factory. 

The production phase of the project has now passed the halfway point, and as a result of optimised design detailing, repeatability, and mould efficiencies, production is nearly 500 units ahead of programme.

The precast concrete elements have 74,000 integrated M&E and security components, all of which required detailed coordination within the BIM model and logistical coordination between the offsite supply chain members. PCE has been appointed by Lendlease as the superstructure and façade delivery partner for the Secure Accommodation and Entrance Building.
