Lower Broughton residential development underway

Residential project in Salford, Manchester

The Lower Broughton residential development scheme is part of a 15-year regeneration project with a partnership between Salford City Council and Countryside Properties.

PCE Ltd has been working alongside Countryside Properties to deliver a scheme for 299 apartments and 197 car parking spaces constructed either side of the grade two-listed 1850’s Church of the Ascension in Salford, Manchester. The extent of PCE works on the scheme is the design, manufacture and construction of six single storey offsite engineered hybrid construction podium decks to support timber framed apartment blocks of up to five storeys and a further two single storey carpark decks, including access ramps for each deck. All the single storey decks are raised due to the development being within the flood plain of nearby River Irwell. The project is being delivered in three phases by PCE with the six podium decks supporting accommodation being delivered in 2019 and the car park decks in 2020.
