Dakota Hotel 11 – the first sandwich panels for the final level

Manchester hotel project is nearing completion

The first sandwich panels for the final level were recently installed at the nine storey five star deluxe hotel for the Dakota Boutique hotel chain which is being built on Ducie Street, Manchester.

The Dakota Hotel project is the second major development that PCE Ltd has recently worked on in Manchester, along with the Dandara Chapel Wharf high rise apartments where PCE again provided a full design and build offsite Hybrid engineered solution. Architectural brick faced precast concrete sandwich panels for the hotel façade are being deployed, which are supplied to site with windows fitted at the precast factory, which sped up the final fit out of the hotel, saving follow on trades, reduced inner city deliveries and thus carbon footprint.

The hotel is being built with concrete crosswalls, PreFastCore and architecturally finished brick faced sandwich panels.
