How the kits of parts philosophy reduces the design process time

PCE Ltd’s HybriDfma approach was introduced by managing director Nickie Brown at Willmott Dixon‘s recent Product Summit, “A day dedicated to empowering our people to make change and improve our business”.

The HybriDfma approach combining principally structural precast concrete, insitu concrete and steelwork to deliver modern structures, including the buildings external facades as required, is based on extensive experience within many construction sectors including commercial, residential, industrial, custodial, health care, schools and infrastructure.

PCE’s “kit of parts”

Mr Brown demonstrated the benefits of PCE’s rationalised design solution approach for the various elements of any structure and their connections providing a “kit of parts” philosophy.

  • It reduces the design process time without compromising on architectural expression
  • It maintains high quality control with ease of manufacture
  • It assists in providing a low waste, fast programme and cost efficient approach.
