The importance of women in technical roles

The construction industry is very keen to demonstrate the importance of equal opportunities, including technical roles – particularly key onsite positions, which are now being undertaken by women.

PCE Ltd. is at the forefront of this ongoing movement. Scarlett Allan-Stubbs (above) for example, has recently worked as Senior Design Co-ordinator on three prestigious projects, namely the Lexicon, Bracknell, Paradise Birmingham (above) and the ongoing Dakota Hotel in Manchester.

Nickie Brown, PCE’s Managing Director acknowledged the importance of International Women’s Day and is delighted how the company is embracing equal opportunities for everybody.

“Over the past few years the company has grown considerably – and with that growth has appointed women to key positions, including senior management and technical roles. We are committed to ensuring it continues to employ the best personnel regardless of gender.”
