CEF Durham update 2 - construction site safety commitment demonstrated

"No need to improvise" with site safety considerations

Construction of CEF's new data, IT and marketing centre in Durham is well underway - with PCE Ltd's constant commitment to site safety once again being to the fore.

As usual, safety is PCE’s leading consideration when developing a structure's construction method - and once again the PCE PERI handrail system is being used which enable’s access to concrete and trowel up to the perimeter edge of the structure.

Nickie Brown, Managing Director, PCE Ltd:

"This continues the efforts made by PCE to ensure that leading edge protection design and provision is common practice throughout the company, a system that works and is adhered to, without the need for any site to improvise with this critical requirement."

The images above highlight a recently concreted Delta Beam with the PCE Peri handrail system. The Delta Beam acts compositely taking the benefits of having shallow steel downstand section with the inherent benefits of a concrete beam.

PERI Wall of Fame

The PCE hard hat was recently added to the PERI Wall of Fame which acknowledges the best endeavours of customers who have consistently demonstrated a successful commitment to onsite health and safety. PERI is the biggest provider and manufacturer of formwork and scaffolding systems in the world.
