3D modelling for precast hybrid structures

Avoiding potential structure clash

The use of 3D modelling during the design process of hybrid structures ensures that any potential clash of structure with M&E services is avoided, as well as helping to determine the accuracy of connections and developing logistics and erection programmes.

Quality of manufacture is important; this ensures that all components not only met the structural and visual needs, but can also be easily off-loaded and erected without any potential fit problems that would delay the erection programme. All individual precast concrete components need to comply with the stringent specification requirements demanded by PCE, who closely monitor production as it proceeds at various factories.
