Paradise circus part of ten year high regeneration in Birmingham

Crane survey report highlights construction focus

There’s no doubt that the centre of Birmingham is changing beyond recognition – and at a pace not seen for more than ten years, according to a recent report on BBC Midlands Today.

The article quotes the crane survey which in turn has indicated that “top level” office construction in the city has increased by fifty percent in the last 12 months alone.

PCE Ltd are currently engaged in a key part of the regeneration effort – the 17 acre Paradise Circus redevelopment project, which is extensively featured in Ben Godfrey’s television report.

Over 2,500 precast concrete and structural steel components manufactured offsite are being erected by PCE’s highly qualified onsite team to form the hybrid structure which PCE are delivering on a design and build basis.

“Paradise is a huge game changer for the city and it’s region” said a spokesperson who described the project as “…building on the vision that Chamberlain had over a century ago.”

The hybrid structure will provide a suspended car park level below a podium level that will form the ground floor of two new office buildings, Number 1 and Number 2, Chamberlin Square.

The upper level deck structure will also provide the surrounding public realm areas around the buildings linking into the existing landscaping of Chamberlain Square and forming a link between the Square and Broad Street.
